Jeroen van der Laak, PhD, Bigpicture Coordinator, is Professor of Computational Pathology and holds the status of Principal Investigator within the RUMC. Jeroen van der Laak has (co)-authored >125 peer-reviewed journal publications. His research group has built a state-of-the-art repertoire of machine learning techniques, implemented in extensive software libraries. Board member of the Digital Pathology Association, initiator and organizer of the Computational Pathology Symposium of the European Congress of Pathology, chair of the task force ‘AI in Pathology’ of the European Society of Pathology, Distinguished Faculty for the PathLAKE consortium, guest professor at Linköping University in Sweden, initiator and organizer of the CAMELYON Grand Challenges.
