Katrien Grünberg, MD, PhD, Bigpicture co-coordinator, is professor of pathology, surgical pathologist and Head of Pathology RUMC. Katrien Grünberg is the quartermaster for the newly formed center for diagnostics and consultation at RUMC and has (co)-authored over 200 articles. Secretary and-president of the Dutch Scientific Society of Pathology (NVVP 2014-2019), initiator and board member for the Dutch Pathology Image Exchange (PIE) project. This platform connects pathology departments in The Netherlands, facilitating consultation and panel discussion on WSI. As head of Pathology RUMC responsible for digitization of the diagnostic workflow, implementing AI tools and development and rollout of the National Pathology Image Exchange platform (PIE).
