Bigpicture kick-off meeting

The program highlighted the diversity of expertise coming together to build up the Bigpicture project. It included an introduction by the IMI project officer, Mrs. I. Jablonska, insightful key note lectures and presentations from the work package leaders. In addition to plenary sessions, there was ample time dedicated to parallel in-depth discussions on the work already ongoing.

Overall, participants from all beneficiaries and EFPIA partners were able to attend the Kick off meeting, either the full program or selected sessions. This ensured a good representation of the whole consortium and productive brainstorms. The interactive setting especially stimulated discussions on the next steps to approach the tasks to be covered by work packages and task forces. It also helped people to get to know one another better, which is key to future success. 

Within the program there was also scheduled a session on IMI project management and the basic financial and reporting rules. This was presented by Lygature on behalf of the Project Management Office team with the aim to make sure all beneficiaries start off with a similar understanding of what is required in terms of keeping records, reporting timelines and formats and who to contact in case of questions or issues. The PMO team was also introduced visually and with contact details since the PMO wants to be an easily accessible team. This will be key in making sure that the project from a managerial perspective can run smoothly and that any potential issue is flagged early on, which will positively impact the project performance and consortium communications.
