Marek Wodzinski will present the current state-of-the-art in the WSI registration, live demo of the DeepreHistReg software library, and concludes with the future research directions.
Description of the webinar
DeeperHistReg is an open-source library that was developed partially in the BigPicture consortium and will be released soon. It allows one to perform fully automatic, accurate, and efficient registration of whole slide images. The library won the ACROBAT competition organized during MICCAI 2023 and will be integrated into Cytomine.
Guest Speaker
Marek Wodzinski is a PostDoc in the MedGIFT Group, HES-SO Valais, Switzerland and Independent Researcher at AGH University, Krakow, Poland. He works in several research projects related to deep learning in medical image analysis. His contribution to the Bigpicture project is mainly connected with the content-based information retrieval and WSI registration. He also leads a project about personalized cranial defect reconstruction and contributes to research related to early Parkinson’s diagnosis and medical navigation in mixed reality.
