The sixth edition of the Computational Pathology Symposium was held on August 29, 2021, in conjunction with the European Congress of Pathology (ECP).
The Computational Pathology Symposium was held on August 29, 2021, in conjunction with the European Congress of Pathology (ECP). This was the sixth edition of a successful series of scientific events, and the second virtual edition of the symposium. Despite the early start on Sunday, around 80 people from all over Europe participated. The audience consisted of pathologists, scientists, and technicians from hospitals, academia and industry. There were seven invited speakers and five submitted abstracts on the topics of algorithm development and validation, regulatory and usability issues, and clinical value. Eva Compérat was presented with the abstract award for her abstract on ‘’Clinical Level AI-Based Solution for Primary Diagnosis and Reporting of Prostate Biopsies in Routine Use: A Prospective Reader Study.’’ After another successful edition we are looking forward to a hopefully physical meeting next year in Vienna.
