Artificial intelligence has the potential to transform pathology, improving diagnostics, accelerating biomedical research and supporting the development of new therapies. But AI can only deliver on this promise when researchers have access to large, diverse and high-quality pathology datasets.

Bigpicture is building Europe’s trusted digital pathology platform, bringing together pathology data, technology and expertise to accelerate artificial intelligence for research and healthcare.

Why Bigpicture matters

Pathology is at the heart of modern healthcare and biomedical research. As pathology becomes increasingly digital, artificial intelligence offers new opportunities to improve diagnostics, deepen our understanding of disease and accelerate drug development. Realizing this potential depends on access to large, diverse and well-described pathology datasets. Today, much of this data remains fragmented across organisations and difficult to access and use at scale.

Bigpicture addresses this challenge by bringing pathology data, technology, standards and expertise together in a European platform designed for responsible research and AI development.
